    Excellent service and usually have all items I want. When I was not getting the cherry Coke Zero I ordered I was told if there are. Just a few left that Safeway would not give to delivery but keep them there for store shoppers. That’s the only complaint. I have.

    I have shopped Safeway for over 40 years in both California and Washington State. The last several years in Washington I have become less and less enchanted with the various Safeway stores I have shopped in. The prices are outrageous, the courtesy is dwindling, the checkout clerks are, for the most part, just short of being surly. The bags that are sold for carrying groceries are a joke. The handles are totally pointless and the bags so flimsy they tear or just fall apart. The cold bags are generous in size, but there, again, the handles give out. Just this evening I had issues TWICE. The cold bag strap broke and my ice-cream fell out and became dented and the lids popped open. The grocery bag gave out and milk fell to the ground breaking open and running all over. The store replaced everything, including a cold bag. Once again the whole thing happened just as I was getting things out of the car when I got home. The ice-cream was salvaged, but one milk was broken open and spilled all over everything including the side of my car. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you will not be seeing me shopping in any of your Safeway stores from now on. I would give you less than a “-5″, but wasn’t given that choice. After reading other reviews, I see that I am not alone in having complaints. Hopefully someone will wake up and smell the coffee and get Safeway back on track.

    My issues are with the people who fills the orders at Safeway’s. I ordered 2 marinated pork loins. One was fine but the other one was
    dated to use by 8-20-2018. The date of the delivery was 9-8-2018. I’ve tried to call Safeway and report this out of date meat on the date it was
    delivered. I was on hold for 45 minutes with no answer. I tried again later for approximately put on hold for 12 minutes and finally hung up.
    I’ve written twice to find out what they planned to do about the charge of 8.99 on this almost three weeks past the use by date. I received an
    email in the evening 9-8-2018 saying they got my email and will be getting back to me. Well it is now 5 days later and still no response from
    Safeway. I am now wondering if this is a way to get rid of their out of date merchandise is to send them out via delivery service.
    I can’t understand how Safeway could or would leave pork out so many days past the use date.
    NOTICE TO OTHERS WHO USE SAFEWAY DELIVERY SERVICE. LOOK AT THE USE BY DATES ON ALL MEATS!
    I would appreciate a call or email from Safeway and let me know what they plan to do about this pork which I still have encase you want it back.

    Was in the Southside Safeway and the minute I stepped in the store was greeted by Margaret. Had a question about where tje deli was located.. She actually walked with me to the Deli and introduced me to the deli girl there. Her name was Julie, and she eas very helpful. I accidently threw my receipt away. But I would give Margaret and Julie TENS definitely! I was on the fence of which store i can go to regularly, this store will be it.

    The worst, I am done! Trying to get a refund for groceries that were never delivered. Shouldn’t charge till groceries are delivered! On hold another 1/2 hour so far, ugh!

    My order was incomplete but I was still charged for the items. Trying to get this solved is a nightmare! On hold for up to an hour waiting to be helped. Told I would get a refund, never happened! Never again Safeway! You get -5 stars

    I bought alcohol with my girlfriend at the San Leandro, CA location on 699 Lewelling Blvd. She used her I.D. but I offered to pay with my card. Note that we are both above the legal drinking age and I offered my I.D. multiple times in this transaction. As I put my card in to pay, the cashier, by the name of Nelson, stopped the transaction and gave me the rudest attitude saying that what I’m doing is illegal and was sighing and grunting about what I did. He kept telling me that it was serious and he angrily slammed an override card down to cancel the transaction. Then he proceeded to ask “Im gonna give you one last chance, who is paying?” His tone was unpleasant and his body language was aggressive. I understand that he was explaining the policy which of course I’m not aware of, but all off the aggression and attitude was highly unneeded and unprofessional. He could have explained it in a nicer way and it would have been no problem. I shop at Safeway often but I will probably not be coming back to this location if the customer service is like this here. Nelson needs to be provided feedback to improve his attitude because customers should not be treated this way. The date and time of my transaction is 8/19/18 at 5:27.     Such a convenience. When there is not enough hours in a day and you keep putting off going to the grocery store. I definitely will be using this service again. Thank you Safeway!

    Actually, this is my 2nd order. My son in Shanghi China placed the first one as a surprise. I was so pleased with the service I decided to try it again. Cannot say enough good things about the service. The meats, fruits and vegetables were really fresh and well packaged. Last, but not least the delivery guys very polite. Presentation says a lot

    Terrible customer service at the strobe on drake road in Fort Collins. I live a block away and will drive to the Safeway store on college and horese tooth. 1st: they never have enough cashiers I have to be prepared to wait a min of 15 min in the checkout line. 2nd: they never want to help with the down load app coupons especially Carol in self checkout. She is rude and makes you get out of line and go to customer service line to get 15 cents off your cheezits because she says she does not know how to do it! Totally unacceptable! 3rd). I bought shrimp from the meat department mind you 77 year old male walked from my house with my walker. Got home the shrimp was rotten & stinky!! Had my wife drive me back. They didn’t even offer me fresh shrimp!! I’m not sure what is going on with this store? 4th). Needed the beautiful 24 variety pack of cupcakes they had at the othe Safeway but decided to try to go to the closer Safeway but the didn’t carry these because they said they didn’t have a cake decorator?!!! What?! How does that make ant sense? I’m not sure what is going on with this store. I have lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years and this store has done better in the past. Don’t usually fill out surveys but felt it was important to use my daughters email to discuss my issues.

    The driver was well within my window/time. He was very courteous and professional. He lifted my groceries and gave me time to check out the grocery items. I am very impressed with customer service, your drivers, the professionalism. Thank you very much.

    Last Friday we were in dire need of finding some pins for our boutonnieres. Our son was getting married the next day and none of the pins we had worked. They were too small. We called several places even asking to purchase some with no success at all.

    Finally we called Joy at your store in the Berkeley area on College Avenue.

    She was more than happy to help us, refused payment when we offered, and just commented that she was happy to help. So my wife and my cousin made several purchases in order to make things right with the store.     I’m simply writing this because when people are helpful and do the right thing it needs to be acknowledged and I hope that this message gets to the right person and that you know Joy was truly a joy in our case.

    I depend on delivery. I have no car. For months been out of Chocolate Milk, Coffeemate. What kind of grocery store dosrnt have Choc Milk. Been so dissapointed latley.

    NO SUBSTITUTIONS means no substitutions! Everytime they substitute with higher priced items. It is so frustrating. Cleaning items are in the same bag as the food. Bread items are on the bottom and smashed. No one responds to your complaints. They just dont care obviously. People order what they need and want so when we say no substitutions we say it for a reason. I even received moldy cheese and they didnt care. Seriously poor customer service and absolutely no qaulity control.

    my order was scheduled for delivery on Saturday 7/20 from 6-9 pm. It was rescheduled, don’t know why. then it was to be delivered on Sunday from 6-7 p.m. It arrived at midnight that day. I called the service number at 7:30 and was on hold til 8 pm. We were asleep when delivery finally came. A overworked nice black woman was trying hard to get all the orders delivered. I give her credit for that. I was charged for some carrots I did not receive. I have been doing business with Von’s for 13 years and this is the worst of the worst. I will not be using home delivery from Von’s again.

    1 order 5 hrs late, was told I would receive $20.00 did not credit. Next order did not ship day ordered i had to go reschedule new delivery day, over was 1 he last window time.

    had a delivery on 6/30/18 window was 8am 9am.the guy showed at 9:45am did not have id for beer so 25.99 case of heinken went back,tipped driver in good faith to make sure return took place more than a week later nothing no call back no refund called delivery support line on hold 25minutes then called clairmont square store 6 times talked to chris manager on duty hung up on many times called murphy canyon store 4 times no answer.gat 3 new phone numbers fron nayeli have invested over 90 minutes to rite now an am blown away on this bad bad bad service call me as soon as possiable for my refund an compansation order # 1771028 route 2053 tracking # 002-van b1

    Delivery scheduled for 6-8 arrived at 10:00. Half of the order was listed as out of stock…really? All of the frozen food I ordered as well as beer? ice cream? cat food? these are not unusual items kinda like mcdonalds running out of hamburger. Driver was nothing but excuses as to how it was all messed up down at the store. Guess what, last time I use safeway

    I was somewhat grossed out today by one of your checkers Kassie at store #335 kennewick WA. She was sweet. BUT she looked like she just climbed out of bed. She had a lot of loose hair hanging off her clothes. Hair was messy cuts on her hands one looked like it had bleed a little, smeared and dried. Touching my food .I was almost sick. I will avoid her line if I go back. Not a good representation for Safeway.

    I requested delivery of 9 12 packs of Diet Dr Pepper Cherry for 6/30 from 8-9am. When the delivery came, the receipt for order# 176700 showed only 6 to be delivered HOWEVER, only 5 were. I called 877-505-4040 and spoke with a rep (after holding for 20mins) who told me she would have the 4 missing cases re-delivered Sunday 7/1 between 11-noon. They never showed. I called today (holding, once again for 20mins). The rep, Jeanette, said “give the driver an hour”. At 1:20 I called back, (holding again), spoke with an arrogant kid Aaron. He refused to help me or discuss it with any common sense, he then proceeded to hang up on me. I called back, yes holding again and spoke with Jay. He said there was nothing they could do, even though all the reps saw my redelivery on the system, they refused to honor the first reps offer of re-delivering the 4 missing cases. Keep in mind the original delivery in your system shows 9 cases ordered, no one would honor it or admit the mistake. I’ve been a customer of Vons for over 30 years, delivery since it’s inception but I’m done. I’ll never ask for delivery or walk thru any of your stores doors again, all over 4 missing cases of SODA. Please review the notes and tell me if this is worth losing a long time customer. GOODBYE

    Was at Safeway #1922. Or Angeles Wa to get a broasted whole chicken. Spot empty so went to counter and the young man Benjamin was alone and helping customers. Apparently his coworker left early and he was was on his own. He was courteous and friendly. I made sure to get his name. Isn’t easy working alone in a dept. I was telling customers they needed to send in survey to pat him on the back. I hope they do. Very pleasant young man. Scott Metzler a about out. Awesome.
