I also tried to summit a survey several times and I am also unable to. 5 star store survey 0 on the survey site; it doesn’t work. Here is my review on the customer service which is 5 star.

I visited your store in Valparaiso on 6/15/18 and I must say two people stood out; Joanne S. in the deli department; great help and very knowledgeable, always smiling.

Second there was a gentleman named Jose R; and I must say what a pleasure; I was looking to see if you had turtle candy by Fannie May and he said; will you be shopping for a while because I will be glad to go find out and then I will find you and let you know. Could not believe it; I did not hear the words I don’t know or if you don’t see it we don’t have it. The fact that he willing went to find out on his own and then volunteered to come find me was absolutely amazing and the best customer service I have ever seen; he needs a promotion and needs to train others to follow in his footsteps of what customer service is. I will come back here because of him and Joanne; I hope that you will recognize these people, I will be back there to ask if they were recognized when I shop there again. Great staff these two.

Store #185 – Harold the store manager has taken a store that was losing its customers left and right to being a store with caring staff that are courteous and expedient! Harold deserves a bonus and definitely a raise as he is the only store manager i have ever seen that will jump on a register to assist customers if he sees a line is too long. Thank God you found him! Now at least some of your customers that were so unhappy (myself included) have started coming back to Meijer. Take care of your employees and they will take care of you.

We have been shoppers at the Ionia Meijer for over 50 years, and for the most part have had no problems. Last night we wen through the checkout and had the rudest checker ever. My husband asked for paper bags instead of plastic. She gave him a sour look and threw the bags up on the counter and began THROWING our groceries into the bags. I really dont want her to lose her job or anything, and also will NEVER use self check and put people out of a job. I just think this person could use an inservice in customer service.

Tried to get to the customer feedback survey and like Jesse from the Evergreen store, was unable to do so. The shelves at the Mason, mi Meijer seem pretty empty lately. One worker told me, when I looked for a product not on the shelf, that they have had a hard time getting product delivered. It seems all departments are having issues. Today, the deli people were rude and said they would be with the customers shortly. After a few minutes, and nobody being waited on, we walked away. There are a few good workers there but most act like they don’t care. I’m hoping that Walmart sees the 144 acres for sale near Meijer and buys it for a super store. They would certainly have my business. I’ll try to get to the Meijer feedback survey another time. I certainly have a lot more to say

I always shop at the #105 Meijer. I don’t understand the benefits for a customer using Mperks. For instance, yesterday I purchase 2 Pantene products which were on sale for buy 1 get one 30% off. When I reviewed my receipt, I was given my $1.00 coupon off from Mperks only and not the sale price. I also previously noticed when I buy NatureMade vitamins at buy one get one and have an Mperks coupon, the coupon comes off the free item. So what is the purpose of using Mperks for a customer? There appear to be perks for Meijer but definitely not the consumer.

I have been on line trying to find the correct app and once I did could not complete the survey. I was unable to bring up the form and could not identify which number was to be entered. I have taken the survey in the past and there was no problem. I have two receipts one for the Pharmacy where I see Fernando and Tamala frequently. Both of these staff members are over the top in customer service and pleasantries. Today I was assisted by Megan who was also great.
At the main check out the cashier was Antoinette who is over the top in speed at checking out while at the same time engaging in conversation. At quiet times she is usually at the start of the station to let people know her work station is available..
So clean up your web site so stellar staff can get the credit they deserve and have earned.
Note I am not the only one experiences problems with the survey platform. Thank

The cashier’s need to learn how to bag. We got home and a 6 pack of water was in the same bag as the bread. Well, guess what, squished bread. The Gatorade was in the same bag as the packaged crackers. Again, broken crackers. The bags were so heavy, we could hardly pick them up. I always put cold and freezer stuff together on the belt, so they can be packed together. Again, it did not happen. And who puts soap with cucumbers? We were at the Livonia, Mi store. #188. The last time we have shopped there, it has been terrible. I guess it’s back to Kroger for us.

Would love to fill out a survey but haven’t the TIME nor the patience to look at multiple screens to be told all aboutt your survey but no way to actually access the survey. And since we are talking about time, the Meijer’s in Ontario, Oh and the employee demonstrate no urgency, speed or incentive in dealing w/customers.

Shelita was working in costumer service and was recieving phone calls so I can only assume she was the manager. We tried to use a 30 dollar off coupon from coupons.com and it wasn’t working. So instead of giving us back the coupons, she wanted to keep them and said she could not give them back. The coupons were not fraudulent. Yet she didn’t want to give them back until we demanded them back. Then she slammed the product down on the counter and said “ fine, you want your coupons? Here you go!!!” She acted very rudely and not as a manager should act toward customers. It was very immature of her and she deserves repercussions for her actions. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect by a manager of a store. She told us that the coupons would not work anywhere else, but we went to target right after, and the coupons for 30 dollars off worked for the toothbrush we wanted and we were very pleased with the customer service at target. Again her name is shelita and I will not be shopping at meijer anymore nor would I recommend anyone else shop there. The customer service at meijer is inadequate and shelita is not fit to be in charge of anyone, she lacks the maturity and descency needed to have a management position. Please address this problem or you will lose many more “valued customers”.

I have a complaint about the BBQ Pulled Pork that you carry in the deli section of your store. This is my number 1 item that I have always bought each and every time I was near a Meijer’s. The closest one to me is 100 and 200 miles round trip and even then I don’t get there as often as I would like. Since the store opened in Escanaba Mi, I could never get the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwiches or by the pound. Today I was told that if it is going to be carryat all that it would only be displayed in the cold section of the deli and not all the time. I am very UPSET & VERY Disappointed If this is true. I like this product so much that even before your store came to the U P of Michigan, I would have family bring it up from Grand Rapids or if I was visiting there I would bring it home . You need to get it BACK!!!!!! Mrs.Clara Markham

I want to give a good recommendation for “Doug B.” I had two containers of Arm and Hammer kitty litter in my buggy. They are very heavy and being elderly, I thought how am I going to manage lifting them into the car. Passing by and offering to help me without my asking him, Doug offered to help me with my groceries and the litter. I am very grateful for his help and wish to thank him for his kindness. He is a great employe! Phyllis

Not a good experience. every time I go there last 6 months things are moved around again and it takes twice as long to shop. Today 10/26 the shelves were not stocked so I wasn’t sure if I was in the right aisle or the item was not there. Plain salt top saltine crackers? I asked an employee and they said they only had unsalted tops. Half of those boxes were in Spanish. Soup shelves were half empty. I stopped going to Meijers for about 3 months trying to wait until the renovation was done. I thought it was over until today. Utter chaos. I would rather shop at the gas station. Store located at 12 mile and Telegraph – Southfield, Michigan
One positive, the Cashier “Camry” was courteous, friendly and professional.

Checker told me that she ‘only worked there” and did not know the answer to any question I asked. Totally incompetent. Items kept ringing up at the NOT sale price and I literally had to go back to the department to get the ticket off the shelf because no one she called came to help. They we needed an override by an manager and it took an additional 10 minutes.

The reason why we shop Meijer is fresh produce good selection and good service. When approaching check out today we where surprised by what happens instantly up set me. Our cashier threw the isle separated down the lane and said abruptly ” put this at the end of your order”. No warm friendly greeting no smile no did you find everything ok. Not friendly or welcoming at all. Worst experience at any Meijer she is there all the time. My wife’s words she never says anything. Then had trouble with my debt card she says out loud declined. I walked over to the bank atm got money walked over there and paid her. She threw are stuff in bags and put are receipt on the rack. That cost me additional 3 bucks. Not a good visit that I spent 15 minutes after a 50 hour work week should tell the story. Nice store bad experience. Matt McPherson

We have been shopping at several of the Meijer’s stores in the Toledo Ohio area, along with local competitors. I am writing you today to comment on your store in Oregon Ohio. Of the local area Meijer’s stores we find this store’s grocery department very disorganized, not as clean, and staff do not seem to care about the items in their departments. I have seen produce bumped off overloaded stocking carts and the employee’s comment was “well, darn that was dumb”, green vegetables are most often wilted because they become too dry. Shelves in many areas aren’t well maintained, and meat case is not cared for. In many of the other Meijer’s stores the grocery areas are better maintained, better looking, and personnel seem happier, and more interested in assisting customers. On the positive side, the hardlines are better maintained. Shelves and racks are neat and for the most part straightened. Is there some way to improve the inside appearance of the store, especially the foods. Help employees to feel a sense of job satisfaction so they will pass it on to customers. It would also be convenient for added cart corrals further out in the parking lot. Thank you, a frequent customer.

I shop at the Meijer #213 in Birch Run, Michigan. I generally have a great shopping experience. The staff are always helpful and friendly, except for my experience today. I was carrying an item that was glass and dropped it, causing it to break and shatter glass. I was by myself and no staff was nearby, except for the deli workers. I didn’t want to leave the glass so I could let other shoppers know of the glass. I called one over and explained I had broken it and apologized. Worker #1 replied in a rude tone “So you don’t want anything?” so I replied “No, I just wanted to let you know there is broken glass”. Worker #2 walked over and asked what happened and I explained everything to her and worker #1 said to me “Shame on you” with a snarky laugh. I have never been so disrespected by an employee anywhere ever. After that I just took my items and checked out and left.

I shop the store on Wilmington Pike in Kettering, Ohio. It’s a great store to shop for most anything. The prices are competitive and products are good quality. Like all Meijer Stores I’ve been to the produce department is the best of any other stores in the area not just the quality but the variety. I would make a suggestion I feel other customers would appreciate. All grocery stores have fruit that looks beautiful (peaches, nectarines, plums, etc. Although beautiful they are not ripe. When you bite into them they are hard and not very tasty. I understand fruit is sold this way to lessen waste. I feel if Meijer were to put signage up to tell customers how to further ripen the fruit that would distinguish you from other grocers. The language would have to be thoughtful because no store is going to admit they don’t sell fully ripened fruit.

I shopped a Meijer store in Sault Ste Marie on Wednesday and purchased what I thought were fresh strawberries. This morning when I took them out of the fridge and opened them about 75% of them were rotten or starting too. You’d think someone would check on these before selling. This is not the first time I’ve gotten spoiled fruit there. I also got a watermelon that was spoiled also. You are not making a very good impression for being a new store. needless to say no more fruit purchases from Meijer anymore. Back to Walmart for me!

I was in Columbus Ohio Meijers zc 43230. and my cashier “Ciara” was very very unprofessional. I start asking her about 3 different clearance prices same shirt different color. Her answer was I have to with the tag. I am a Retail Manager and that was not the question. Anyway I know more than that and I just said well I work in retail and I know what you can do. Then she start pealing off the stickers to check if I placed them there!!!!!!! At that point I just wanted to call someone in upper level but I was with an old lady and I didn’t have time to waste in something like that but honestly I can’t hold it. I have to let it know. By the end of the transaction she took a deep breath. Like I was a difficult customer. You know I am hispanic and I came here and I moved up fast with my skills with my great customer service plus my intelligence. I don’t play with no job that people have. Ut because I am a hard worker I think someone has to tell her she habe to relax and be more pacient more people friendly amd pro customer. She have to change her attitude like ASAP.

Bought Capri pants at Evergreen store for 50% off last pair my size. Decided to go to Rte 30 & Wolf store after visiting family out that way the next day. Found several tops & Capri there, but decided to try them on so thst I needn’t have to return them. The young woman named Lisa was terrific! She greeted me with s smile, asked if she could assist with anything. Then got locked in fitting room, they had just changed lock, she quickly called for help because door wouldnt open. We laughed & I had to go back in, so she let me use the other side. She was the best!!! Thanked me fir shopping Meiher, apologized for the door, made me laugh. I retired from Sears with 45 years in retail & I wish we had associates half as good as Lisa. She is an asset to your company! Good service is hard to get these days! I live in Hometown & I will make trips to this store more often. Please give her some kind of recognition, she makes me want to shop your store! Thank you Lisa!

I was very impressed with the women’s clothing department. I really like how all the sizes are put together, because women come in all different sizes. There is no separation for the bigger girl sizes, and that’s how it should be. And I didn’t see any signs saying that bigger girls will be fined $2 extra either. I see that alot at stores like Wal-Mart. Thank you for not discrinating.

I am 72 years old. I purchased a carton of beer today. I was asked for my ID. I showed the girl my Id, but she said I would have to take it out of my wallet, Which I did. I do not look like a eighteen year old guy, so I think this is kind of stupid. I think maybe from now on every time I go to Meijer’s I will take a case of beer up to the check out, and when they ask me for my ID, I will say “I changed my mind.” Let them take it back to the display.
